Inject Molded Gears

Injection
Molding of Gears is a very popular process of manufacturing gears that are
made of plastic. The manufacturing process works like this. First of all the
heated plastic is forced into a mold cavity by applying pressure. The heat
plastic is then subsequently clamped together. It is then solidified into
the shape of the mold or a gear. It is to be noted that injection molding of
plastic gears is perfect option for mass produce and smaller production runs
would not be an economically feasible option. Popular examples are molded
Spur Gears and miter gears.
